| MEMBERSHIP / HOW TO JOIN
Who Can Join: Membership in
the Southern WV Chapter of AALNC is open to registered nurses
working as in-house legal nurse consultants with defense or plaintiff
law firms, independent legal nurse consultants, nurses working
as expert witnesses, risk managers, nurses employed by insurance
companies or government agencies, registered nurses with an interest
in legal nurse consulting, and other individuals or corporations
with an interest in promoting the goals of the chapter.
Membership Requirements: RN
license is required to join at the active or associate level.
Sustaining level memberships are available to other interested
individuals or corporations. To join the local chapter you must
also be a member of our national organization, the American Association
of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). Please go to www.aalnc.org
for more information about joining AALNC.
Member Dues: Due annually and
determined by membership category. $30.00 - Active level (RN currently
working as LNC) $30.00 - Associate level (RN not working as LNC)
$50.00 - Sustaining membership (Other interested corporations
or individuals) How to Apply: Submit Potential
Member Information Form (click for online form), a copy of
your RN license, a copy of your national AALNC application form,

Benefits of Membership: Benefits
of membership in the local chapter include educational offerings
on medico-legal topics, the opportunity to network with other
nurses working in the legal field, and mentoring opportunities
for legal nurse consultants who are new to the field. An added
benefit is the opportunity to join the WV Bar Association in their
