139th Annual Meeting
Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Opportunities to step away from the daily demands of practice and invest in your professional growth don’t come around often—especially opportunities that combine high value CLE, statewide networking, and timely insight from leaders shaping West Virginia’s legal landscape. This July, attorneys from every corner of the state will gather in Charleston for a program designed to deliver exactly that. With 7 CLE credits available—and the unique flexibility to apply them to either the current reporting year ending June 30, 2026 or the next—this mid summer offering is one of the most strategically timed CLE opportunities of the year. During our time together in Charleston, we are honored to recognize two distinguished leaders whose service reflects the highest ideals of our profession: Federal Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi, recipient of the Honorable Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. Award, and Robert Albury, recipient of the Award of Merit. Their achievements set the tone for a weekend centered on excellence, integrity, and the future of the legal community. Justice H.L. “Kirk” Kirkpatrick will deliver a substantive and timely update on Civil Law—an essential session for practitioners navigating today’s evolving civil landscape. In addition, Jamie Majerus, CPA, CFE, CIA, will present a practical and eye opening session on financial exploitation in guardianships and conservatorships, offering real world examples and guidance on an issue gaining national attention. The agenda also includes remarks from Judge Todd Kirby, adding further depth to an already robust program. Whether you join us to support colleagues, expand your knowledge, or connect with leaders shaping the judiciary’s future, this year’s gathering promises meaningful insights and memorable moments for all who attend. We look forward to seeing you in Charleston, or online, for our 139th Annual Meeting.
