• Session 3: "Intersection of Divorce Law and Estate Planning" with Mark W. Kelley, Esq. of Ray, Winton & Kelley, PLLC addresses the unintended consequences of divorce and estate planning. This presentation provides estate planning practitioners with guidance on these domestic law issues, especially for those clients who are established in their careers and marry later in life. Prenuptial agreements, family court jurisdiction, and beneficiary forms will be discussed.

Presenter Bio:

Mark W. Kelley, Esq. of Ray, Winton & Kelley, PLLC

Mark Kelley, a member of the firm, is a 1988 graduate of West Virginia State University and a 1991graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law. While at State, Mark served in a variety of organizations, including as President of the Student Government Association. In law school, Mark served as Manuscript Editor of the West Virginia Law Review.

Throughout his legal career, Mark has practiced in a variety of areas, but concentrates mainly in the areas of domestic relations, commercial litigation, and estate litigation. In the domestic relations arena, Mark has attained particular experience in high-asset divorce cases. Mark also handles employment and personal injury matters, and in the last few years has begun serving as a mediator in domestic, commercial, and estate disputes
